Welcome to the Journey

Since the very beginning of my practice, there has been one thing I have said to patients over and over again:
“Thank you for choosing me to join you on your healing journey.”
Not because I ever saw myself as the one doing the healing. Healing belongs to the patient. My role has always been to walk beside them; to listen, support, guide, and continue showing up through all the seasons that healing brings.
Over the years, it has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life.
I have watched patients become parents. I have celebrated victories with them. I have sat with people during difficult seasons and witnessed incredible resilience. I have seen healing happen slowly, unexpectedly, and beautifully.
This work has never felt like appointments on a calendar to me. It has always been about people and their stories.
And somewhere along the way, something happened.
What started as a small acupuncture practice slowly became something much bigger.
It became conversations after appointments that lasted a little longer. Community events. Collaborations with other practitioners. Ideas scribbled into notebooks late at night. Dreams that kept growing quietly in the background.
Because the truth is, wellness was never meant to stay inside the treatment room.

Before I look too far ahead, though, I think it's important to pause and look back.
One of the things I have learned over the years is that we spend so much time chasing the next goal, the next milestone, or the next chapter that we rarely stop to appreciate how far we've already come.
Recently I was updating my Google Business listing, and I came across a photo of my very first treatment room when I opened my practice in Havre de Grace 11 years ago. Looking at that picture brought back so many memories. At the time, I had big dreams, plenty of uncertainty, and absolutely no idea where this journey would ultimately lead.
What I did have were people who believed in me.
My parents were there from the beginning, cheering me on every step of the way. Dr. Nick and Dr. Joe at Havre de Grace Chiropractic generously provided me with a space to start my practice and trusted me with some of my very first patient referrals. Those early acts of support mean more than I can ever fully express.
And of course, my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) has been there every step of the way too. As the practice has grown, so has his role in the job he never actually applied for: our on-call maintenance man, problem solver, and the person I can always count on when something needs fixing.
And then there were the patients.
Some of you have been with me since those very first days. You know who you are. My "OGs."
You trusted a young acupuncturist and new small business owner who was just getting started. You referred your friends and family. You celebrated milestones with me. You stood by me through office moves, life changes, new services, and every season of growth along the way.
When I look back, I realize that Be.Well. was never built by one person.
It was built through countless conversations, encouragement from family and friends, collaborations with colleagues, and the trust of patients who chose to return again and again.
The truth is, none of us arrive where we are alone.
Every chapter of this journey has been shaped by people who showed up, believed in the vision, and helped carry it forward. Looking back at that little treatment room reminds me just how much can grow when you combine a dream with a supportive community.
And for that, I am incredibly grateful.
The longer I practiced, the more I realized that healing lives everywhere. It lives in slow mornings with tea, family dinners, long walks, community gatherings, difficult conversations, and the quiet decision to choose yourself again after a hard season.
Wellness lives in real life.
And lately I have realized something else.
For years, you have invited me into your healing journeys. Now, I would love to invite you into mine.
Be.Well. is entering a new chapter. We are growing, building, and dreaming bigger than ever before. There are exciting things happening behind the scenes right now; new spaces taking shape, ideas becoming reality, and a vision that has been quietly growing for years finally beginning to publicly unfold.
This blog is where I want to share that journey.
Of course, we will talk about acupuncture, functional medicine, recovery, and wellness. But I also want this space to feel personal and connected.
We will talk about community and local wellness in Cecil and Harford County. We will share behind-the-scenes moments as Be.Well. grows. We will explore culture, food, and the things that bring people together. We will celebrate wins, learn through challenges, and talk honestly about the beautiful, messy middle that comes with growth.
Because wellness is not perfection.
It is a journey.
And if there is one thing my patients have taught me over the years, it is that journeys are always better when we do not walk them alone.
So thank you.
Thank you for trusting me with your stories. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your healing journeys. And thank you for being here at the beginning of this next chapter.
I hope you will come along for the journey.
Welcome to Be.Well.

Congratulations to you and your journey. I'm grateful for the time I spent as a Licensed Massage Therapist at Be.Well. Your heart spoken words are so true, we help others heal by their own source of power and strength. LaDonna Kapustensky, LMT
I’m proud to be an OG. It’s been fun watching you grow. I remember the days in the first office that you would refer to your books for needle placement. Now, I swear you know me better than I know myself! I look forward to my visits and you’ve helped me tremendously.
I am one of Danielle’s OG’s. I remember the little office in Havre De Grace. I have been there on her journey and it has been beautiful to watch her blossom into the strong woman, Mother, Daughter, Wife, and business woman she has become. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. And Danielle knows I will always be there for my monthly visit , which sometimes feels like my therapy session. Weather I need it or not, I will be there. I feel like we support each other. You will not find a better acupuncturist Believe me I have been to several.
